DEMENTIA AWARENESS
LEVEL 2/3 AWARD IN AWARENESS OF DEMENTIA
This is a one day course designed to enable individual staff and teams to begin to understand the lived experience for people living with dementia. This qualifications aim is to develop the individuals knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Depending on the level you study, you'll cover things like:

Basic Knowledge of Dementia Care

Person Centred Planning and Understanding Equality

Advanced Knowledge of Dementia Care

Communication

Administration of Medication
WHICH LEVEL IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Level 2 - You have very little knowledge of dementia and/or dementia care.
Level 3 - You have basic knowledge of dementia and/or dementia care and want to progress further and increase your knowledge and skills.
